$2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America
The Falmouth Service Center was pleased to host Author Kathryn J. Edin as she presented insight into her acclaimed best seller.
Her book entitled, "$2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America" has been called, 'A sobering expose on extreme poverty in America," by The Boston Globe in September 2015. You can read more about this exciting book, the issues it covers, and the authors on their website.
We hosted the event at Falmouth Academy's Morse Hall. If you missed it, her talk will be featured on FCTV throughout the month of February. You can find the schedule here (search "Two Dollars a Day"). She was also featured on WCAI's The Point with Mindy Todd. Click here to listen to Kathryn's interview.
Are you still looking for a copy of the book? Eight Cousins sold out at the event but should have more in stock this week.
100% of all ticket sales were donated to the Falmouth Service Center, Inc. Thank you to all who purchased a ticket and supported the work of the Falmouth Service Center.
