David Prosten

David has been a volunteer at the Service Center since 2015. During that time he has proven himself in a wide variety of settings starting from the warehouse and pantry to the Joint Base Initiative. He spear-headed the effort to bring pet food to those clients with pets. He began his career as a reporter. At one time he was a writer and editor of a national news service. He founded and ran a small publishing house for 30 years. He is a long-time member of Sierra Club. As a member of the Executive Committee of the Maryland Chapter he led many campaigns focused on environmental issues. David serves on the Executive, Audit and Governance Committees of FSC.
