When is the Falmouth Service Center open?

Food Distribution Hours:

Tuesday: 10:00am-12:00pm
Wednesday: 3:30pm-5:30pm
Thursday: 10:00am-12:00pm
Friday: 10:00am-12:00pm

FSC Office Hours:

Client visits available by appointment only. Monday 9:00am-3:00pm, Tuesday 9:00am-3:00pm, Wednesday 9:00am-5:00pm, Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm, and Friday 9:00am-noon.

How do I get food?

At this time, we are serving any household in need of food from any town and have moved our food distribution outside of our building. You may pick up food once a week at this time, if you need it. Through our new Client Choice Program, you are able to choose what you would like from a weekly grocery list.

 

How do I make an appointment for food stamps or fuel assistance?

Food Stamps is now called SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). Learn more about SNAP and how to apply for assistance by calling Project Bread at 800-645-8333.

Fuel Assistance Program begins on November 1 and runs until April 30. To apply, please visit the South Shore Community Action Council website (SSCAC.org) or call them at (508) 746-6707.

 

I need financial assistance. How do I know if I qualify?

The Falmouth Service Center is able to provide financial assistance to Falmouth residents that qualify. Learn more about FSC’s Financial Assistance Program.

If you are NOT a Falmouth resident but are a resident of another Cape Cod town, please call the Needy Fund at 508-778-5661 to see if they can assist you.

 

Do you have medical equipment that I can use or borrow?

The Falmouth Senior Center, has taken back their Medical Equipment Program. We can no longer accept any medical equipment, nor do we have medical equipment to loan out. If you are a resident of Falmouth and you are in need of medical equipment, please contact the Falmouth Senior Center at 508-540-0196 to see if they have the item that you are looking for and someone will check on its availability.

Cape Cod HELP, Inc. is a non-profit organization out of Centerville, MA. that now takes in and loans out medical equipment. Please call 774-552-2119 or visit their website here for more information.

 

I need a phone number or website address for another social service agency. Can you help me find it?

Providing referrals and phone numbers for other organizations is one of the most important things we do at the Falmouth Service Center.

Visit the Resources and Referral pages where you will find many of the organizations that we work with every day. If you don’t find the resource you are looking for, please call 508-548-2794 and our Information Specialist will be happy to help answer your question.

 

I do not have health insurance. Can I apply for MassHealth at the Falmouth Service Center? Can I get access to any other health services?

At this time, you may contact Community Action Committee of Cape Cod and the Islands to apply for MassHealth and other MassHealth options. Learn more about health insurance.

The Community Health Center of Cape Cod provides affordable medical care to children, adults, and families on the Upper Cape. Currently, you can apply for MassHealth, Monday - Thursday in their Mashpee offices and they have someone available to help people fill out MassHealth applications.

 

Do you have home food delivery?

Yes. The FSC Home Food Delivery Program is available for senior citizens and those who are ill or homebound. The program delivers food twice a month, on the second and fourth Thursdays, once for perishable foods and once for general groceries. What is The Fresh Start Program? How do I learn more about this program and how I can sponsor a child?

Fresh Start is a program that provides enrolled Falmouth school children who are clients of the Falmouth Service Center with a complete set of new clothing and a backpack filled with school supplies to start the new school year.
