Connecting Hand in hand to our new Community Closet
Hand in hand Thrift Shop (Hnh) is a critical component of our new FSC Community Closet. Hnh volunteers receive and process all of the donations that come through the door. Items are sorted to either be sold at our shop or sent over to FSC for clients to pick out at our new clothing room. Just to open the doors of our new Community Closet, it was determined that we would need thousands of items to properly stock the room with clothing in all sizes, linens and small household appliances. Hnh staff and volunteers will continue to send a large volume of items every week to the new clothing room, and another group of volunteers will stock the room as needed, making it ready for clients.
None of this is possible without the people who donate their items to Hand in hand and to the many volunteers who sort and display all the items at both locations!
We are grateful to our local Carpet Barn Carpet One!
They recently donated brand new rugs to Hand in hand! These beautiful rugs are a great addition to items we have in store.
